Modern Marriage – Online discussion with Roxanne Moses

We are very excited to have a return guest joining us on this discussion as we continue a previous topic.

Back by popular demand, we ae discussing modern marriage. In this part 2 of the series, we discuss the current circumstances that we find ourselves in with the Covid pandemic and how this has impacted our relationships.

We also explore the unspoken T&C’s that may exist in marriage or partnerships regarding 2 important items. The first being Social media and our interactions with an online social community as well our thoughts on speaking about an ex-partner or relationship.

During our conversation we further discuss the importance of making time for romance, our relationships with the in law’s, raising kids & how we handle disagreements on disciplines.

Personally, I am enjoying the flexibility that I have now whilst working from home, but I just feel like our home has become one huge conference room.

In modern relationships with all the hustle and bustle happening, it is easy to become caught up in a rat race. We are constantly chasing a work goal or making efforts to fulfil a personal aspiration which often leaves very little to no time or energy for romance. Putting in some boundaries on this front is vital for a healthy marriage or relationship. You have to create the environment to promote intimacy and romance. Be intentional about having grown up time to talk and just be physically and mentally in each others presence. No cellphones or Shop talk.

Whilst in law’s will always be a complicated situation for many, as individuals we are constantly growing and so should our relationships in general.

You most certainly can choose who to build relationships with and at different

stages of your life you will have different interest and find different people interesting. That’s ok.
